What does everybody in the entire world wide web has in common when surfing web sites? Well, we use web browsers to do so. Web browsers has become such a important common tool for internet access. So common and use to it until we nearly forget about it.

Internet Explorer
Still the current leader in number of market shares of web browsers. One of the main reasons is if you are using Microsoft Windows Operating system, you are by default always using Internet Explorer. Not much add-on is available for Internet Explorer as there are not many freelance developers keen to make Internet Explorer more hip.

Mozilla Firefox
From the team that brought us made tabbed browsing a hit, Mozilla Firefox is the favorite web browsers among the tech savvy group. When it was launch, it made the other web browsers sit up and brush up their browser feature list. So kudos to Firefox! Firefox is available for Windows, Linux or Apple Operating System

Safari by Mac
Safari is not related to Night Safari in Singapore. Safari web browser use to exist only on Apple Operating System. Late last year, Safari 3 was launch for Windows Operating System, aiming to reach out to the browser market in Windows Operating System.

Opera browser
Not many are familiar with this browser but Opera packs a ’superb voice’ in delivering the web browsing software. Nintendo uses Opera on Wii for the web browsing equipment. Some of the major mobile phones also uses Opera mini for web browsing on mobile phones

i am currently using safari to browse sites, the only thing about safari on windows is that it is still in the beta version and there are some bugs. i remembered when i installed safari on my pc, my itunes crashed, best to wait for it to release a final version before installing it.

I’ve only used IE, Firefox and Safari; and out of the thre, I love Firefox best. Tab browsing and all the other plugins. How can you not love it? I’m waiting for the final version of FF3 to be released.

Simplon, thanks for the comment. There had been a few discussion on who invented tabbed browsing. Some say is even before Opera and Mozilla!
