How to use MSN Messenger with your own email address
I actually use a hotmail email address as my MSN Messenger loging ID. Been using this ID since don’t know when. However, I don’t use this hotmail email address as my default email. Plus the free version of hotmail does not allow Pop3 download of emails into your email client such as Microsoft Outlook or Thunderbird. The problem is my friend tends to send email to my hotmail email address because that is what they see in MSN. So as I don’t check the email that often. I always miss out on some stuffs sent by my friends.
The solution is, we can actually use our own email address for MSN messenger. So instead of using nickname@hotmail.com only, you can use your favorite other email address for your MSN ID.
