MyBlogLog, self updating blogroll of who visited your site

Further to my post on why you should have a blogroll, here is nice web application which i recently sign up on, MyBlogLog. I call it a ’self updating blogroll’

Join My Community at MyBloglog!

For blog owners, how it works is first we have to insert a Javascript code to your blog pages. With this code, we will be able to track which MyBlogLog members visit your blog!

Next up, to display this ‘blogroll’ of who visited your site, insert the MyBlogLog widget to your sidebar.

MyBlogLog

This MyBlogLog widgets displays the last visitors to my blog. Congrats to Rinaz, Hanneng and Kriscell for being the 1st three on my MyBlogLog! And of course ronin1770, thanks!

For blog visitors, this builds a relationship between you and the blog owners. You might not have any comments on their blog post but leaving your mark in MyBlogLog informs the owners that you just drop by.

With MyBlogLog, I am creating basically a community of my blog. Readers are able to join your reader community in MyBlogLog. This forms a powerful social networking tool for your site.

There are a few nice tools such as tagging and stats which I am still exploring.

For mobile.islikethat.com, it is nice to see visitors to my sites and their faces :)
