Some Solution to stop spammers in your comments
Spam comments in your blog…most people hate them although some like them(for porn reasons). Spammer use programs and scripts to send out mass or millions of spam to comment on blogs. So spammers can comment on your blogs multiple times at a click of their spam system. If you are in the same situation, receives large amount of spam comments, here are some solutions to stop spams:
- Do not allow comments on your blogs. This might sound silly but some popular blog sites do that as they receive too many spams comments!
- Activate Akismet plugin in your wordpress blog. This plugin checks the against the Akismet web services to find out if the comments looks like a spam and allows your approve.
- Add in the “Completely Automated Public Turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart” short name Captcha. For every comment, only humans(at this moment of time) is able to recognize the image. So in order for the comment to be even submitted, the correct word must be type into the box. An example of Captcha looks like the image below.
