Yahoo supports OpenID project
Yahoo will be supporting OpenID project and the beta launch will be on 30 January 2008
What is OpenID?
In a nutshell, OpenID is a username and password identity that enable you to log in to any websites such as your blog sites, social network sites, practically any websites! OpenID is not proprietary which means nobody really own the system. So the aim is that in future, we would only need 1 OpenID to login to any websites! Cool!
Before we get too excited and start popping champagnes, the OpenID concept is in the early stages of adoption by online companies.
It is great news that Yahoo supports this project and hopefully more will do so very soon!
